Social grant recipients in South Africa will get a standard R10 increase in November 2025. The government has made it clear that there won’t be any extra bonus payments. – Foster parents will now receive R1,230 instead of R1180 for each child.
– The child support grant goes up to R550 from R530.
All these new amounts already include the standard increase that applies to everyone who gets grants.
Revised SASSA Pension Amounts for November 2025
The extra money is only for people who already get SASSA grants. To qualify you need to be 60 or older and live legally in South Africa. You also must not earn too much money or own too many things. If you don’t get a SASSA grant right now you cannot get this extra payment. The bonus is just for current grant holders who meet these rules.
