Social grant recipients in South Africa will get a standard R10 increase in November 2025. The government has made it clear that there won’t be any extra bonus payments. Some people thought they would get big one-time payments but this is not true. The normal grant increase will happen as planned but nothing more will be added. The government wants everyone to know that the rumors about special bonuses were false. All social grants will simply go up by R10 as part of the regular yearly adjustment.

Why Is There Only a R10 Increase in November 2025?
SASSA will add R10 to the main grants. This includes money for old people disabled people care needs & war veterans. The increase is not big but follows the normal way government raises grants. You don’t need to do anything to get the extra money. The new amount will show up by itself in your grant payment. The system updates everything on its own so there’s no paperwork to fill out. All current grant holders will get this increase without taking any action.
– People aged 60 to 74 will now get R3,230 instead of R2,180.
– Those who are 75 and older will receive R3,250 up from R2,200.
– People with disabilities and those who need care support will get R3,230 which is up from R2180.
– Foster parents will now receive R1,230 instead of R1180 for each child.
– The child support grant goes up to R550 from R530.
All these new amounts already include the standard increase that applies to everyone who gets grants.
